Ch Ch Changes....

Well hello faithful blog readers! Sorry it has been so long I have had A LOT going on. Let's see where do I begin. We have added the beautiful addition of Lyla to our family and she is doing great. Still hasn't figured out the whole day/night thing, but we are working on it. She also refuses to sleep in a bed of any kind. I have found that she will sleep in her stroller. I know that sounds ridiculous but hey if that is where she will sleep then by all means stroller it is. It is easier from the stand point that I can just roll her from room to room.

OK here is where things get hairy. I was supposed to go back to work in late October however, because the economy is in the toilet I have been laid off until Jan. I just found out yesterday. This puts a big financial kink in our lives, but we are trying to figure out what our best plan is. We decided to pull both girls out of school because that is a $1200/month expense that we will obviously not really need much less be able to afford. Then John found out he is being deployed to Dallas TX by State Farm. I don't know if you have seen those commercials with the SF Catastrophe Team helping people after hurricanes and such, well that will be John for the next 60 days. That's right he will be gone for 60 days. I have mixed emotions about this. Pros being that this will be very significant amount of extra money for our family in a time when we could use it the most. Cons he will be away from the girls and I for two months. I worry mostly about Riley she and "daddy" are very close and I think this will affect her the most as well as the fact that we are pulling her out of school. Hopefully her world will not be too up side down for her to handle.

I am not a big fan of change esp. those that are unexpected and not well planned out in advance, but hey isn't that life? I am trying not to over react or freak out and just take it in one day at a time. I am thinking that I will spend most of that 60 days in Asheille with my family who I never get to see because of my work schedule, and I am also excited that I will have this wonderful extra time to spend with the girls.

That is what has been going on in our lives. I hope everyone else is doing well. I will try to blog more often. :)
