We are still alive. Just VERY busy. I still haven't started full time with State Farm but I have been full steam ahead getting all these lic. and certifications and online trainings so that I can sell insurance. It makes my head hurt. Lyla will start her "transition" into day care in a couple of weeks. We will go together for a couple of hours every day for a week. Then we will go together for a couple of hours and I will leave her for a few hours. I hope she handles it well. Riley is ready to go back and talks about it constantly.

Like a good neighbor....
Well after much deliberation and prayer I was offered a job this week and I took it. I am going to work for a new State Farm agent here near our house. It is a really good opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an agency. So if you need any insurance I am your one stop shop!
It is going to be SOOOOO hard to put the kids back into school. Riley has been there before and loves school so I am not that worried about her, other than waking up early in the morning. Lyla on the other hand, is going to be devestated. We have been going to Bible Study each week and she stays in the nursery for a whopping 2 hours each week. She screams when I leave her and is still screaming when I pick her up and hyperventalates as we drive home from Bible study each week. It breaks my heart, but I really think this is going to be the best thing for us in the long run. It has been hard making the choice to go back to work and I just worry about my kiddos.
Does anyone know where the spell check on here is??? I lost it a few weeks ago and have yet to find it...help.

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary John. Sorry this is the only picture I could find on Mom's computer of both of us together. It has been a wonderful and wild five years. Here's to 65 more! I love you! Posted by Wendy at 2:27 PM 1 comments

Busy Bees
Riley and Lyla and I have been busy getting ready for the holidays. I find random ornaments through out the house everyday. Lyla likes to take them off and carry them around the house with her and then just leaves them in random places. We have also been watching the 25 days of Christmas on ABC Family everyday. It is funny that Riley is watching all the same movies we all watched when we were kids. I guess claymation never really gets old. I think I am done Christmas shopping but I am sure something last minute will pop up, it always does. I don't think we will be visiting Santa this year. Riley talks a big game but everytime we are any where Santa is she can't muster up the curage to sit on his lap. Lyla on the other hand wants nothing to do with Santa and even cries if he waves at her in passing. Riley has been singing Christmas carols non stop since Thanksgiving. Today instead of "three french hens" she substituted it with "three rubber chickens"...???
I hope my kids grow up loving this special time of year as much as I did as a kid. My grandfather always made Christmas so special for all of us. So far I think they love it too! Riley and I will head to the local performance of the "Nutcracker". Last time we went she reinacted it all in the aisle while the dancers danced on stage. Hopefully, we can remain in our seats this time :)
